El pol\u00edtico argentino ocup\u00f3 distintos cargos a lo largo de su carrera y tuvo un rol destacado en la vida institucional del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e9stor Carlos Kirchner naci\u00f3 el 25 de febrero de 1950 en R\u00edo Gallegos, provincia de Santa Cruz. Desde joven mostr\u00f3 un marcado inter\u00e9s por la pol\u00edtica y una gran capacidad para comprender las din\u00e1micas del poder local. En las elecciones del 7 de septiembre de 1987 fue elegido intendente de su ciudad natal, tras imponerse por apenas 111 votos. Ocup\u00f3 ese cargo hasta 1991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luego de su paso por la intendencia, decidi\u00f3 continuar su carrera pol\u00edtica a nivel provincial. Tras varias campa\u00f1as, logr\u00f3 ser elegido gobernador de Santa Cruz durante tres per\u00edodos consecutivos (1991-1995, 1995-1999 y 1999-2003). Durante esos a\u00f1os consolid\u00f3 su figura dentro del escenario pol\u00edtico nacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Posteriormente, asumi\u00f3 la Presidencia de la Naci\u00f3n el 25 de mayo de 2003, en un contexto de profunda crisis pol\u00edtica, social y econ\u00f3mica derivada de las pol\u00edticas aplicadas durante la d\u00e9cada anterior. Su mandato se extendi\u00f3 hasta 2007.<br>Finalmente, mientras se encontraba en la localidad de El Calafate, N\u00e9stor Kirchner falleci\u00f3 el 27 de octubre de 2010, a los 60 a\u00f1os, a causa de una afecci\u00f3n cardiovascular.<br>Al d\u00eda siguiente, fue velado en el Sal\u00f3n de los Patriotas Latinoamericanos de Casa de Gobierno y el viernes 29, en los 12 kil\u00f3metros que separaban al aeropuerto de R\u00edo Gallegos del cementerio municipal, miles de personas le dieron el \u00faltimo adi\u00f3s en un recorrido se prolong\u00f3 por m\u00e1s de dos horas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hoy 27 de octubre se cumplen 15 a\u00f1os del fallecimiento de N\u00e9stor Kirchner.
