La agencia describi\u00f3 la medida como un recordatorio de la autoridad discrecional de sus oficiales, que exist\u00eda desde antes, y afirm\u00f3 que \u201cla pol\u00edtica <b>no impedir\u00e1<\/b> que ning\u00fan extranjero obtenga una green card si califica leg\u00edtima y apropiadamente\u201d, seg\u00fan la declaraci\u00f3n recogida por <i>The New York Times<\/i>.
